Visitor address and light rail

Opening times across six periods

The official annual schedule distinguishes six periods. January and the first half of February use 08:00 to 17:00. Opening and closing then move in stages, reaching 07:15 and 20:00 on weekdays in summer. Evenings shorten again from September; from December the grounds open daily at 08:00 and close at 17:00. Architecture and cemetery profile

Pragfriedhof opened in 1873. It covers 21 hectares and is Stuttgart’s third-largest cemetery. The ceremony hall and municipal crematorium were built in Art Nouveau style between 1905 and 1907. The site also contains a columbarium with several hundred niches and a dedicated burial field for Sternenkinder.
